Nikola Tsolov set for Formula 1 testing at Imola

Bulgarian Formula 2 driver Nikola Tsolov is reportedly set to conduct Formula 1 testing at the Imola circuit on August 27. According to Italian media citing team sources, Tsolov is expected to drive a Racing Bulls VCARB02 as part of a TRSs program. The goal of the test is for him to complete at least 300 kilometers to secure a Formula 1 superlicense, potentially allowing him to participate in Friday practice sessions next season.

Tsolov, who currently leads the Formula 2 standings, has addressed the growing speculation regarding his move to Formula 1. In a recent interview, the 19-year-old stated he is attempting to distance himself from the noise to maintain focus on his successful season. He credited his recent performance surge to his transition into the Red Bull driver academy, noting that the team's support has been fundamental to his development.
