Nikos Plotas named Best Young Player of Greek Stoiximan GBL 2025‑26

Greek guard Nikos Plotas of Promitheas was voted the Best Young Player of the 2025‑26 Stoiximan Greek Basketball League. He secured 38.10% of the vote from coaches and team captains, ahead of Alexander Samantourov and other contenders.

Plotas, who previously won two bronze medals with Greece’s U20 national team at the 2023 European Championship in Heraklion and the 2024 edition in Gdynia, Poland, succeeded NeoKlis Abdala, the two‑year holder of the award. He said the accolade recognized his season‑long effort and expressed a sense of responsibility to continue improving.

The award reflects his strong performance for Promitheas during the season and highlights his growing reputation in Greek basketball.
