Nilüfer choruses perform in Gazimağusa, Northern Cyprus

Turkey's Nilüfer Child Choir, Nilüfer Youth Choir and the family‑based Kaizen Choir took part in the "Korolar Buluşuyor‑3" choral festival held at Namık Kemal Square in Gazimağusa, Northern Cyprus, from 14 to 29 July 2024. The concert, organized by the municipalities of Gazimağusa and Nilüfer, brought together choirs from several Turkish cities, including groups from Hatay, Ankara and other regions. The event was created to support families of the Champion Angels volleyball team, whose members died in the February 2024 earthquakes that devastated Hatay and Adıyaman. During the program the Nilüfer choirs performed alongside local and visiting ensembles, concluding with a joint rendition of three pieces by all participating choruses. Municipal leaders, including Gazimağusa Mayor Dr. Süleyman Uluçay and Nilüfer Mayor Şadi Özdemir, highlighted the "sister‑city" relationship and thanked the participants for their solidarity.
