Nilüfer Karadeniz Festival opens in Bursa with concerts and dances
The second edition of the Nilüfer Karadeniz Festival was launched in Bursa's Balat Atatürk Ormanı and will run for three days. On the opening day, local musicians Safa Tatoğlu, Yayla Trio and popular singer Resul Dindar performed before a crowd that included Nilüfer Mayor Şadi Özdemir, his wife Nuray, and several regional politicians. Özdemir highlighted the event’s aim of cultural solidarity, saying, "Herkesin sesi, hepimizin Nilüfer'i diyoruz" (Everyone's voice is Nilüfer's).
The festival’s second day featured traditional horon dancing and a series of regional performances. Züleyha Savaş opened with Karadeniz melodies, followed by Hamit Çakıcı, the Borçka Women’s Choir, the rock‑infused Marsis group and a closing act by Aysel Yakupoğlu, who received a flower from Mayor Özdemir. The program emphasized the promotion of Black Sea culture and attracted thousands of visitors from Bursa and neighboring provinces.
