Nilüfer Municipality razes illegal 2,000 sqm recycling plant in Bursa

Nilüfer Municipality in Bursa’s Nilüfer district carried out demolition operations targeting illegal structures. In Ürünlü Mahallesi, a 300 square‑metre building erected on agricultural land was completely torn down. In neighboring Yaylacık Mahallesi, municipal teams demolished a 2,000 square‑metre unauthorized recycling factory and partially dismantled an adjacent 1,000 square‑metre building used as a factory.

The operations were conducted under broad security measures with police, gendarmerie and health officials on standby. No injuries or other adverse incidents were reported. Municipal officials reiterated a zero‑tolerance stance toward illegal construction, emphasizing the importance of protecting public health and natural resources.
