Turkey launches nationwide “Aile Kampı” family nature events

Turkey’s Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry announced that on 8 August 2026 a simultaneous “Aile Kampı” (Family Camp) will be held across all 81 provinces. Minister İbrahim Yumaklı said the event expands last year’s popular “Baba‑Çocuk Kampı” to include whole families, aiming to strengthen bonds with nature and raise environmental awareness among children. Activities will be organised in protected natural areas such as Çubuk Karagöl (Ankara), Şamlar (Istanbul), Termessos (Antalya), Abant Gölü (Bolu) and Marmaris (Muğla), with options for tent camping or day‑visits. Planned programmes include nature walks, workshops for kids, bird‑watching, camp games, campfires, traditional children’s games and stargazing.

Other community initiatives for youth were also highlighted in Turkey. In Nilüfer (Bursa), the municipality and the Müzikist Association completed a three‑week art and music project for 113 children from rural neighbourhoods, culminating in the “Nilüfer Anadolu Sanatdolu Köy Şenliği” with performances by local choirs and artists such as Murat Evgin. In Antalya, Muratpaşa Municipality’s summer hobby courses attracted 52 participants aged 7‑18 to learn drum playing under instructor İhsan Güvercin. These programmes reflect a broader push to provide creative, educational and outdoor experiences for children and families across the country.
