Nintendo Direct showcases Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave details FAST-MOVING
Nintendo announced a dedicated Direct for August 4 2026, a roughly 20‑minute broadcast that focuses entirely on the upcoming tactical RPG Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, an exclusive launch title for the Nintendo Switch 2 slated for September 17 2026. The presentation revealed the game’s setting in the Dagda Empire’s capital Dagsion, where the Heroic Games tournament awards a single wish granted by the ruler Solel. Four playable protagonists – Cai, a farm boy seeking to free his imprisoned father; Dietrich, a swordsman hunting stronger foes; Theodora, a queen aiming to restore her homeland’s honor; and Leda, a disgraced noblewoman pursuing revenge – each follow their own narrative path, which can be switched between at any time. A hidden, nameless hero (named Eshmele in some versions) is identified as the true protagonist who travels back in time to influence the four champions. Gameplay details include classic turn‑based combat, a three‑tier class system, special “Blaze Arts” attacks that consume soul, and a rewind mechanic that lets players revert to a previous turn. The Direct also announced a special edition collection featuring an artbook, character cards, and a map of Dagda. Pre‑orders are already available on the Nintendo eShop.
