Nintendo Switch 2 launches upgraded editions of Final Fantasy X and Xenoblade Chronicles 2

Nintendo’s Switch 2 console received new versions of two flagship role‑playing games. The Final Fantasy X/X‑2 HD Remaster was updated for the hardware, delivering a steadier framerate, higher resolution and faster load times compared with the original Switch release. Square Enix highlighted the technical polish while confirming the core story and gameplay remain unchanged.

Monolith Soft’s Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Switch 2 Edition also arrived with a suite of visual and performance options, including a 1440p quality mode, a 120 fps performance mode and a maximum‑quality setting that pushes the engine to its limits. The update adds minor content tweaks and improves overall stability. Reviewers in Italy, Belgium, Portugal and Brazil noted the enhancements make the game feel fresh on the new platform.

A smaller indie title, Constance, was similarly ported to Switch 2, showcasing the console’s ability to render high‑resolution art and high‑frame‑rate audio‑visual experiences. Together, these releases illustrate Nintendo’s push to refresh its library for the Switch 2 generation.
