Nintendo Switch 2 Enhances Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Performance

Digital Foundry examined the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Nintendo Switch 2 Edition and reported a markedly smoother experience. The upgrade uses temporal upscaling and a higher internal resolution of 720p, delivering sharper edges and softer surface detail. Frame rates target 60 fps on docked mode, with handheld performance also near 60 fps, though occasional dips to 30 fps occur during demanding scenes.

The Switch 2 version also introduces new voice talent. Feliks Mathur replaces Daniel Barker as Zeke, Sam Douglas takes over the role of Dromarch after the late William Roberts, and Sarah Pitard voices the new Blade Momo, previously voiced by Sherry Lyn and Cristina Pucelli. The original cast remains for other characters. The edition is now available worldwide on the Nintendo Switch 2 console.
