Nirjala Ekadashi worship of Vishnu and Lakshmi observed across India

Devotees marked Nirjala Ekadashi on 25 June 2026, performing special worship of Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. Rituals described include bathing, wearing clean clothes, offering water to Tulsi, lighting a pure ghee lamp with one or two cloves near the basil plant, and reciting the "Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya" mantra. The day’s auspicious muhurats were listed from early morning (04:05 – 04:45 IST) through the afternoon (02:09 IST), with recommendations to perform the puja during these periods. Participants are also advised to read Vishnu Sahasranama, offer Panchamrita, and give alms after the ceremony. The observance is framed as a means to attract Lakshmi’s blessings, remove negative energy, and fulfill wishes.
