Mid‑month ceremonies included Kaushiki Amavasya, Kark Sankranti with river baths, charity, and Durga recitations; the puja window ran from 12:27 p.m. to 19:21 p.m., with a heightened maha‑puja from 17:03 p.m. to 19:21 p.m. Durgashtami was observed on Tuesday, 21 July. Devotees purified the altar with Ganga water, placed a red cloth, installed a Durga image, and offered rice, vermilion, red flowers, fruit and sweets. Auspicious timing spanned Brahma Muhūrta (≈04:00‑06:00 a.m.) and Abhijit Muhūrta (≈11:47‑12:35 p.m.). Devshayani Ekadashi on 25 July marked the start of Chaturmas, when Vishnu enters a four‑month yoga‑nidra. The tithi began at 09:12 a.m. on 24 July and ended at 11:34 a.m. on 25 July; the fast‑break (parana) occurred on 26 July between 05:39‑08:22 a.m. During Chaturmas weddings, engagements and other auspicious ceremonies are suspended, while fasting, puja, mantra chanting, charity and spiritual study are emphasized. The puja involves bathing the Vishnu image with panchamrit, offering yellow cloth, tulsi leaves, yellow flowers, sandalwood paste and seasonal fruits, and lighting a ghee lamp. Additional guidelines emphasise offering a south‑facing conch filled with Ganga water and cow’s milk, presenting tulsi leaves, lighting lamps near peepal trees, and chanting “Om Namo Bhagavate Vāsudevāya” 108 times. The fast‑break muhurat on 26 July is recommended between 06:13 a.m. and 08:50 a.m., with the parana performed on the subsequent dwādashi.
