Nirmala Sitharaman travels to Jaipur for BRICS meetings

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman traveled from New Delhi to Jaipur via the Vande Bharat train to attend the Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability (BRICS) Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meetings. During the journey, the Minister engaged in discussions with postgraduate media students and young professionals regarding geopolitics, the economy, and youth-related issues.

Additionally, the Ministry of Finance, through the Department of Financial Services, will host the PSB Confluence in New Delhi on August 17-18. This two-day conclave will bring together the leadership of public sector banks and financial institutions to address key banking matters, including deposit mobilization and financing the investment cycle.
