Nissan Kicks compact SUV garners 7,000 orders within two weeks in Japan
Nissan launched the second‑generation Kicks compact SUV on 18 June in Japan. Within two weeks the model had attracted more than 7,000 domestic orders, driven by the new third‑generation e‑POWER hybrid system and the e‑4ORCE all‑wheel‑drive setup. The top‑spec G e‑4ORCE trim features a 1.4‑L engine with front‑motor output of 143 PS and rear‑motor output of 68 PS, a 19‑inch alloy wheel, premium interior finishes, BOSE audio and a panoramic glass roof. Fuel consumption is reported at 20.1 km / L under WLTC, and safety equipment includes ProPILOT, Intelligent Around View Monitor and rear‑collision‑prevention systems. Pricing for the G e‑4ORCE starts at ¥4,248,200 including tax. Nissan hopes the strong early uptake will help reverse a two‑and‑a‑half‑year decline in domestic vehicle registrations and boost foot traffic at its dealer network.
