Nissan launches all‑new Kicks compact SUV in Japan with e‑POWER system
Nissan unveiled a fully redesigned second‑generation Kicks compact SUV on 17 June 2026, debuting it in the Japanese market. The model is equipped with the third‑generation e‑POWER hybrid powertrain, featuring a 1.4‑litre engine, a 143 hp electric motor and an optional e‑4ORCE electric‑four‑wheel‑drive system that adds a 68 hp rear‑axle motor and a snow‑mode for low‑grip surfaces. Fuel consumption is rated at 20.1‑25.7 km/L (WLTC).
The new Kicks is 70 mm longer and 40 mm wider than its predecessor, measuring 4 365 mm in length with a 2 655 mm wheelbase. Styling follows Nissan’s latest family language with a bold front grille and LED lighting, while the interior features 12.3‑inch dual displays, soft‑touch materials, BOSE audio and extensive driver‑assist functions including ProPILOT, 360° cameras and lane‑keep aids. Four trim levels are offered, priced from ¥2 999 700 to ¥4 248 200 (approximately 490–695 million VND).
