Nissan launches Tekton SUV in India with deliveries underway

Nissan India has begun deliveries of the newly introduced Tekton mid‑size SUV. The vehicle is priced from Rs 10.49 lakh (ex‑showroom) and offers a 1.0‑litre turbo‑petrol engine with a six‑speed manual gearbox, as well as a 1.3‑litre turbo‑petrol option paired with manual or DCT transmissions. Nissan claims a mileage of up to 19.4 kmpl, five‑star BNCAP safety rating and a range of premium features including LED lighting, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, wireless charging and large digital displays.

The Tekton is built in India on the CMF‑B platform shared with Renault‑Nissan‑Mitsubishi models and bears strong design cues from the Renault Duster and Nissan Patrol. It is offered in five trim levels and six colour options, with dual‑tone styling on most colours. The launch expands Nissan’s SUV lineup in the Indian market.

Bulgarian media reported the same specifications, noting the vehicle’s visual similarity to the Duster and emphasizing that the Tekton will not be sold in Europe.
