Nissan Mexico Posts 150,000 Unit Sales Milestone and Launches 2026 Versa Safety Suite

Nissan Mexicana reaffirmed its market leadership, noting that its three locally produced models—NP300 pickup, Versa sedan and Kicks SUV—combined to sell over 150,000 units in fiscal year 2025, keeping the brand the preferred choice of Mexican buyers for 18 consecutive years. The NP300, in production for 59 years since the CIVAC plant opened in 1966, remains a durable workhorse. The Versa, introduced in 2011 and built in Aguascalientes, is exported to more than 25 countries and has earned multiple industry awards. The Kicks expands Nissan’s presence in the crossover segment.

At the same time Nissan unveiled the 2026 Versa, equipped with up to 12 driver‑assist technologies such as Intelligent Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection and Predictive Forward Collision Alert, aiming to raise safety standards in its class. The new model is also assembled at the Aguascalientes plant, reflecting the company’s strategy of delivering advanced safety features to a broader Mexican market.
