Nissan Micra returns as a distinctive electric compact car

The new Nissan Micra has been reimagined as a fully electric compact car, moving away from its previous utilitarian design toward a more distinctive, nostalgic aesthetic. Featuring prominent round headlights and a futuristic rear, the vehicle aims to stand out in urban environments.

Technically, the Micra is a sibling to the Renault 5 E-Tech, sharing the AmpR-Small platform and production at the Douai plant in France. The tested top-tier model features a 110 kW (150 PS) motor with 245 Nm of torque and a 52 kWh battery option.

Inside, the cabin offers a modern interface with dual digital screens alongside physical controls for climate settings. While the front seats provide long-distance comfort, the rear space is more constrained, particularly for taller passengers. The trunk capacity ranges from 326 to 1,106 liters, though it features a relatively high loading edge.
