Nissan Pixo electric city car to feature advanced safety and AI

Nissan is expanding its electric vehicle lineup with the introduction of the Pixo, a compact urban city car scheduled for 2027. Measuring 3.80 meters in length, the vehicle is based on the Renault Twingo E-Tech Electric platform.

The Pixo features a 60 kW electric motor and emphasizes advanced driver assistance systems. Key technologies include adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go functionality, Lane Departure Warning, and a hands-free automatic parking system. The vehicle also utilizes One-Pedal technology to manage acceleration and deceleration through a single pedal.

Inside, the cabin focuses on digital integration and modularity. The dashboard includes a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen running on Android Automotive. A notable feature is the integration of Google’s Gemini AI, which provides a voice assistant for navigation, entertainment, and communication. The interior also offers practical elements such as independent sliding rear seats for adjustable cargo and passenger space, and physical climate controls for ease of use.
