Nissan unveils Tekton SUV design ahead of July 9 launch

Nissan has teased its upcoming midsize SUV, the Tekton, which is slated for an official debut on 9 July. Recent leaked photographs reveal the rear of the vehicle, showing a full‑width LED light bar, distinct tail‑lamp shape, a silver‑insert bumper, a roof‑mounted spoiler with an integrated stop lamp, and other rugged details. The image appears to have been captured during a television‑commercial shoot and may have been sharpened with AI.

The Tekton shares its platform with the new Renault Duster but receives unique exterior styling and a Nissan‑specific interior. Expected powertrain options mirror the Duster’s 1.0‑litre and 1.3‑litre turbo‑petrol engines, offered with manual, automatic or 7‑speed DCT gearboxes, and a future hybrid version using a 1.8‑litre engine paired with an electric motor. Standard equipment is said to include a 10.1‑inch infotainment screen, digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging and Level‑2 ADAS.
