Nissan to launch partially updated Note model with Black Edition in August 2026
Japanese automaker Nissan announced that its compact Note will receive a minor facelift on 24 August 2026. The update, described as a “partial improvement” of the current E13 generation, introduces a new special‑edition trim called the Note Black Edition, featuring black‑styled exterior elements, upgraded interior trim and a suite of advanced safety systems such as Intelligent Around‑View Monitor and BSW rear‑side detection.
The facelift also streamlines the colour palette, adds a new “Midnight Black” paint option and replaces some leather‑wrapped components with synthetic alternatives to reduce costs. Prices rise by about ¥70,400 for the standard X grade, while the Black Edition sits roughly ¥100,000 higher than the base model. Nissan indicated that a full model change is expected after 2027, positioning the 2026 update as a bridge to the next generation.
The move aims to improve cost efficiency amid rising material prices while keeping the Note competitive in Japan’s compact‑car segment.
