Nissan unveils Pixo electric city car for European market
Nissan has unveiled the Pixo, a new all-electric A-segment city car designed for the European market. Developed through the Renault-Nissan Alliance, the vehicle is built on the AmpR Small platform, sharing technical components with the Renault Twingo E-Tech and the Dacia Spring.
Produced at the Renault plant in Novo Mesto, Slovenia, the Pixo features a 27.5 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, marking the first time this battery chemistry will be used in a Nissan model in Europe. The electric motor delivers 60 kW (approximately 82 hp), providing a WLTP-estimated range of up to 259 km. The vehicle supports 50 kW DC fast charging, which can replenish the battery from 15% to 80% in about 28 minutes, alongside 11 kW AC charging for home or workplace use.
Designed for urban agility, the Pixo measures 3,796 mm in length and has a turning circle of 9.9 meters. Despite its compact size, it offers a versatile interior with independent sliding rear seats and a cargo capacity of 356 liters. The car is expected to enter the market with an estimated price below 20,000 euros, with deliveries anticipated to begin in early 2027.
