Nissan unveils low‑cost 7‑seat MPV in India and rolls out larger Kicks SUV in Japan

Nissan announced the Gravite, a 7‑seat compact MPV aimed at Indian families. The model, built by Nissan India, measures just under 4 m in length, seats two to seven passengers, and is priced at 560,000 Indian rupees (about 960,000 yen). It is powered by a 1.0‑litre three‑cylinder engine delivering 53 kW and offers a five‑speed manual gearbox, with a clutch‑less version also available.

In Japan, Nissan introduced a full model‑change of its Kicks compact SUV. The new Kicks is larger, features a sneaker‑inspired exterior design, and is equipped with the third‑generation e‑POWER hybrid system and e‑4ORCE drivetrain. Nissan is positioning the refreshed Kicks with a starting price below 3 million yen to compete against models such as the Corolla Cross and the Vezel.
