Nissan unveils Pixo electric city car for European market

Nissan has unveiled the Pixo, a new compact electric city car designed for the European market. Developed through the Renault-Nissan Alliance, the Pixo shares its technical platform, RGEV Small, with the Renault Twingo E-Tech and Dacia Spring.

Manufactured at the Renault plant in Novo Mesto, Slovenia, the Pixo is expected to enter the market in early 2027. It features a 27.5 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, providing a claimed WLTP range of approximately 259 to 260 kilometers. The vehicle is equipped with a 60 kW (82 hp) electric motor and supports 50 kW DC rapid charging, which can replenish the battery from 15% to 80% in about 28 minutes.

While sharing much of its architecture with the Twingo, Nissan has implemented a distinct design language characterized by pixel-inspired LED lighting and unique bumpers. The interior includes a 10-inch touchscreen and a 7-inch digital driver display, integrated with Google services and the Gemini AI assistant. The car is designed to seat four adults, offering a 356-liter boot that can expand to 1,221 liters with the rear seats folded. Nissan aims to position the Pixo as an accessible entry-level EV, with expected pricing below 20,000 euros.
