Nitra Bishop condemns violence against foreigners following attack

Bishop Viliam Judák of Nitra has condemned all forms of hatred and violence following a recent attack on foreigners in Nitra, Slovakia. The incident, which occurred between July 31 and August 1, involved a group of masked men attacking young people from abroad. One victim, an Indian national, required surgery after being hospitalized.

In a statement released by spokesperson Tibor Ujlacký, the Bishop called for mutual respect, peace, and the rejection of anger and aggression. He emphasized that "every person has equal dignity regardless of their origin and religious belief," noting that discrimination and violence contradict Christian principles of love for one's neighbor.

Local police are currently treating the incident as an offense against civil coexistence.
