NJIT and Stephen F. Austin Women’s Soccer Ranked in Preseason Polls

The New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) women's soccer team was projected to finish seventh in the 2026 America East Preseason Coaches’ Poll. Head Coach Ally Nick said the returning players and an 11‑member incoming class bring fresh energy as the Highlanders open the season on Aug. 16 at Lubetkin Field against Rider and will host five home matches.

The Stephen F. Austin (SFA) Ladyjacks were placed fifth in the 2026 Southland Conference Women’s Soccer Preseason Poll, earning one first‑place vote. Head Coach Ashley Whittemore highlighted a roster with 12 returners, 10 transfers and six newcomers. SFA’s first game is a free scrimmage on Aug. 1, followed by the season opener on Aug. 13 against Sul Ross State.
