Stephen F. Austin women's athletics 2026 season

In late July 2026 the Stephen F. Austin (SFA) Ladyjacks announced key components of their upcoming women's sports campaigns. On July 28 the women's basketball team released its 2026‑27 schedule, opening with a home game against the University of Dallas and featuring a first‑time matchup with a Power‑Four opponent, the University of Houston. The schedule also outlined Southland Conference play beginning in early December and highlighted the program’s aim to secure a third straight conference title and a March Madness berth.

Two days later, on July 30, the women's soccer program was noted in preseason rankings. The Ladyjacks were placed fifth in the Southland Conference poll, receiving a first‑place vote, while the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) appeared in the America East poll. The soccer preview detailed a roster mix of returning players, transfers and newcomers, with a scrimmage on August 1 followed by the season opener on August 13.

Together these releases mark the start of SFA’s preparation across multiple women's sports for the 2026‑27 competitive year.
