Nobres Gastronomy Festival attracts 2,000 people to support local businesses

The Gastronomy Festival in Nobres, Mato Grosso, attracted approximately 2,000 attendees during its event on September 11 and 12. Organized by the Support Service for Micro and Small Enterprises in Mato Grosso (Sebrae/MT) in partnership with the local municipal government, the festival featured about 20 exhibitors specializing in gastronomy and handicrafts.

The initiative aimed to strengthen local small businesses, promote regional cuisine, and enhance the municipality's tourism potential. Julio Prior, regional manager for Sebrae/MT, noted that the event is part of a broader strategy to integrate tourism across different territories in Mato Grosso by connecting entrepreneurs with visitors to create a more complete tourist experience.

Bruna Fava, the municipal secretary of Tourism, Industry, and Commerce, emphasized that the partnership with Sebrae/MT helps transform projects into concrete actions through training and consultancy for local entrepreneurs. The festival sought to establish itself as a recurring tradition to bolster the local economy alongside the region's natural attractions.
