Mexican driver Noel León takes dominant sprint win in Monaco F2 race

Noel León, the Mexican driver for Campos Racing, won the Formula 2 Sprint Race at the Monaco Grand Prix on 6 June 2026. Starting from pole position, León led every one of the 30 laps and crossed the line more than three seconds ahead of Roman Bilinski (DAMS), who finished second, with Gabriele Minì (MP Motorsport) completing the podium.

The victory was León’s second sprint win of the 2026 season after Canada, moving him to second place in the drivers’ championship with 43 points, 20 points behind leader Minì (63). Campos Racing also extended its lead in the constructors’ standings to 79 points. After the race León said, “It feels great to win in Monaco, my second consecutive sprint victory, I’m very happy.” The main race is scheduled for Sunday, 7 June.
