Noi Bai Airport Introduces Dedicated Immigration Lane for Vietnamese Travelers
From early August, the international terminal T2 of Hanoi’s Noi Bai Airport operates a separate immigration lane exclusively for Vietnamese citizens. The lane is marked with distinct signage and is intended to streamline passenger flow during peak periods, but it does not grant any priority or exemption from standard checks. Travelers must still present their original passports and comply with all immigration requirements; electronic copies of passports are not accepted.
Passengers are advised to follow the “Arrivals” signs to the correct lane, wait for officer instructions, and then proceed to baggage claim and customs. The new arrangement also includes support counters for Vietnam Airlines, HGS and Vietjet Air within the arrival hall. The airport authority emphasizes that the lane is a traffic‑management measure, not a fast‑track service, and that all usual customs duties apply to goods exceeding duty‑free limits.
