Noi Bai Airport revises pick‑up lane rules for yellow‑plate vehicles

From 11:00 a.m. on 5 August, Noi Bai International Airport in Vietnam introduced a new traffic‑flow plan for passenger pick‑up. Vehicles with yellow plates and a capacity of fewer than nine seats – including ride‑hailing cars – may now stop in lane 3 in front of Hall E at Terminal 1. Each vehicle is limited to a three‑minute stop to keep traffic moving smoothly.

The change follows earlier adjustments made on 3 August that altered access routes, drop‑off and pick‑up lanes, and parking areas at both Terminals 1 and 2. The airport has also installed 12 canopies along Terminal 1 from Hall A to Hall E and placed orange‑uniformed staff with “Here to help” signs on the first floor to assist passengers in locating the correct pick‑up point.

The measures aim to reduce congestion, improve service capacity, and ensure a smoother experience for arriving passengers, drivers, and airport personnel.
