Noida International Airport investigation launched over fake waterlogging video
Uttar Pradesh Police have launched an investigation and filed a First Information Report (FIR) following the circulation of videos allegedly showing waterlogging at Noida International Airport. The airport management filed a complaint against a Facebook account named ‘Sach Bolo’, claiming the footage was fake, misleading, and a distortion of actual conditions intended to damage the reputation of the infrastructure project.
The investigation aims to determine the source and intent behind the dissemination of the content. The incident follows recent heavy rainfall in the Delhi-NCR region, which prompted various social media reactions regarding the airport's status.
In separate regional developments, the Noida Authority has proposed a Rs 1,500 crore, 900-meter four-lane flyover at Chhijarsi to alleviate traffic congestion for approximately 300,000 daily commuters. Additionally, police in the Dankaur area reported an encounter with two suspects involved in an extortion incident, and construction of the AC skywalk connecting Noida Sector 51 and Sector 52 metro stations has faced delays.
