Noida International Airport partners with ePlane Company for air taxi services

Noida International Airport and The ePlane Company have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop the infrastructure and regulatory frameworks necessary for electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) services. The partnership aims to facilitate airport-to-airport transit, intra-city commutes, and emergency air ambulance services using the e200X aircraft.

Under the agreement, the airport—developed by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited, a subsidiary of Zurich Airport International—will provide space for proof-of-concept trials, vertiports, and charging stations. The airport will also work to align its standard operating procedures with the requirements of electric air taxi services.

The ePlane Company will focus on conducting prototype and flight tests of the e200X aircraft while seeking necessary clearances from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS). The two entities plan to collaborate with regulators and air traffic control to establish safety frameworks and AI-assisted fleet scheduling systems.
