Noida‑Delhi border security tightened ahead of farmer march

On July 22, police forces from Gautam Buddha Nagar and Delhi intensified security at all major crossing points between Noida and Delhi. Barricades were erected and a joint checking operation was launched, scrutinising every vehicle, two‑wheelers, four‑wheelers and pedestrians. Additional police personnel were deployed and modern equipment used to verify documents and detect traffic violations. The measures aim to prevent any disruption as farmers plan a march toward Jantar Mantar. Senior officers, including Gautam Buddha Nagar Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh and Delhi Police officials, supervised the operation and appealed to the public for cooperation.

The heightened alert is described as a precautionary step to maintain law and order while minimising inconvenience for ordinary commuters.
