Nolan Wells death investigation continues in Mississippi

The death of Nolan Wells remains under investigation in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, as the local high school football season begins. Wells' body was discovered nearly two months ago following a July 4 boating trip with friends to Horn Island.

An independent pathologist has classified the cause of death as “undetermined,” and the results of the state’s autopsy investigation have not yet been made public. Jackson County District Attorney Angel Myers McIlrath stated that investigators are continuing to review evidence before presenting the case to a grand jury to determine if any criminal activity occurred.
