Nordex Group launches new rotor‑blade factory in Menemen, Turkey, creating 1,200 jobs

The wind turbine manufacturer Nordex Group began production in May 2026 at a new rotor‑blade manufacturing plant in Menemen, near Izmir, Turkey. The facility covers roughly 130,000 sqm in total, with about 90,000 sqm dedicated to blade production.

The plant is expected to employ around 1,200 workers and is intended to meet the growing demand for high‑efficiency onshore wind turbines in the Turkish market, supporting the country's renewable‑energy expansion.

The start of operations marks Nordex’s latest investment in the region and adds capacity to its global supply chain for wind‑energy components.
