Nordex wins 110 MW wind turbine contract in Turkey
The Nordex Group secured a new 110 MW order from Turkish utility Eksim Enerji for the Balıkesir‑3 wind farm. The contract covers supply and installation of 16 N175/6 X turbines on 119‑metre steel towers, a 10‑year premium service agreement, and complies with local content rules.
Nordex, which holds about a one‑third market share in Turkey, sees the deal as part of its long‑standing partnership with Eksim Enerji that began in 2010. The order adds to the company’s portfolio of over 64 GW of onshore wind capacity worldwide.
Despite the positive project news, Nordex shares fell 3.35 % on the day of the announcement, dragged down by broader concerns over German economic growth, margin pressure and market risk sentiment.
