Normal expands retail presence in the Czech Republic

The Danish discount retailer Normal is expanding its presence in the Czech Republic. Following the August openings of its first two stores in the Flora and Butovice shopping centers in Prague, the chain is set to open its third location in the Letňany Shopping Center on September 9. The new store will feature over 400 square meters of retail space.

This expansion is part of a broader trend of international brands entering the Czech market, which is increasingly viewed as a stable gateway to Central Europe. According to industry experts from Cushman & Wakefield and CBRE, the influx of new brands is supported by strong domestic demand, lower inflation, and a growing supply of retail spaces, including new retail parks. Recent years have seen a significant number of new brands entering the country, including various gastronomy, fashion, and discount retailers from Europe and Asia.
