NORMAL retailer to open first Romanian stores in Bucharest and Timișoara

Danish retailer NORMAL is expanding into the Romanian market with the opening of its first two stores. The debut location is scheduled to open on September 30 at Mega Mall in Bucharest, covering 275 square meters and employing approximately 18 people.

Two days later, on October 2, a second store will open at Shopping City Timișoara, featuring a larger area of 380 square meters and roughly 18 employees. The retailer plans to offer over 3,500 products across categories including personal care, cosmetics, hair care, oral hygiene, household cleaning supplies, snacks, and beverages.

According to CEO Jakob Frølich Maarbjerg, Romania was selected due to its high potential and consumer openness to distinctive shopping formats. The stores will stock international brands such as L’Oréal, Maybelline, Nivea, and Colgate, alongside K-Beauty and J-Beauty products. The company aims to maintain a dynamic assortment by introducing at least 100 new products every week.
