North Macedonia and Italy sign cooperation pact for public administration

North Macedonia and Italy have signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at modernizing public administration and enhancing professional development for civil servants. The agreement was signed in Rome by North Macedonian Minister of Public Administration Goran Minchev and Italian Minister Paolo Zangrillo.

A central component of this partnership is the establishment of a new Academy for Professional Development and Training of Administrative Staff in North Macedonia. This academy is intended to create a systemic approach to continuous learning, focusing on knowledge, competencies, and the development of a new generation of leaders.

During a visit to the National School of Public Administration (SNA) in Italy, Minister Minchev discussed deepening institutional cooperation with SNA President Prof. Gennaro Terraciano. The collaboration seeks to leverage Italy's experience in recruiting and training state officials to build a more competent and efficient administrative system in North Macedonia, ultimately aiming to improve public services.
