North Macedonia border crossings see increased traffic delays

Increased traffic congestion is being reported at North Macedonia's border crossings with Greece and Serbia due to weekend travel. While urban centers remain quieter than usual, many travelers are heading toward regional destinations and Greek beaches.

At the Bogorodica border crossing toward Greece, waiting times for exiting North Macedonia have reached approximately 45 minutes. Similarly, long queues have been observed at the Tabanoc crossing toward Serbia, with delays of up to 30 minutes reported for entry and exit.

Authorities expect the increased flow to persist through the first weekend of September, after which traffic is anticipated to ease. Travelers are advised to check current border conditions and account for extra travel time.
