North Macedonia child stabbed in Shuto Orizari amid surge of peer violence

On 3 July 2026, a 12‑year‑old boy from Skopje was treated at the St. Naum Ohridski health centre after being stabbed with a knife by another minor in the Shuto Orizari district. Police said four youths were involved in the attack, one of whom used the knife. The incident, captured on video, sparked renewed public concern about juvenile violence.

The same day authorities recorded additional assaults on minors: a 19‑year‑old reported threats in Bit Pazar, and a 15‑year‑old was physically attacked in Drachovo by an adult attacker.
