North Macedonia Deputy PM Aleksandar Nikoloski Announces Fast Rail Corridor 10 Construction to Begin End‑Year

Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski said preparations for the fast‑rail line on Pan‑European Corridor 10 are proceeding on schedule. Environmental and social impact studies, totaling about 1,600 pages, have been completed and will be presented publicly in August in Skopje, Veles, Demir Kapi and Gevgelija.

After the public consultations, the documents will be revised by 31 August, after which financing contracts will be drafted and the conditions for funding will be submitted to the Parliament. The start of construction is slated for the end of the year, pending approval of the financing terms.
