North Macedonia issues energy vouchers for inverter air conditioners

The Ministry of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources has announced the distribution of financial support in the form of vouchers for the purchase and installation of inverter air conditioning units. More than 500 vouchers have been allocated under the 2026 Program for the Protection of Vulnerable Energy Consumers.

The support is specifically targeted at households where one or more members receive disability benefits under the Law on Social Protection, as well as households with children with disabilities who utilize specific allowances up to the age of 26.

Recipients are instructed to check their electronic addresses in their user profiles for a decision regarding their eligibility, a questionnaire to be completed after installation, and a barcode or QR code for identification. To redeem the vouchers, beneficiaries must present the printed decision, questionnaire, and identification code to legal entities that have signed contracts with the Ministry. The deadline for utilizing these vouchers is October 15, 2026.
