North Macedonia approves anti-corruption reports and election budgets

North Macedonia's Commission for the Political System and Relations between Communities has approved the 2025 annual report for the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC). According to SCPC President Adem Çuçul, the commission received 612 submissions and issued 583 decisions, including 111 penalty orders for corruption law violations and 45 misdemeanor proceedings. The report also covers election campaign financing and the implementation of the national anti-corruption strategy for 2021-2025.

In separate developments, the State Election Commission (SEC) has finalized a 21.1 million denar budget for the upcoming by-elections for the mayor of Brvenica, scheduled for October 18. SEC President Bojan Maričić noted that 3 million denars are allocated for political advertising.

Additionally, the Employment Agency reported a surplus of 77.2 million euros from previous years. The government intends to use these funds to improve the liquidity of the Pension and Disability Insurance Fund (FSPIM) through legislative changes that shift contribution ratios from unemployment insurance to pension insurance.
