North Macedonia Prime Minister highlights infrastructure projects

Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski announced that the government is currently managing over 1,200 active construction and development projects across North Macedonia. These initiatives focus on expanding the country's road and railway networks, including highway sections such as Blace–Skopje, Tetovo–Gostivar, and Prilep–Bitola, as well as the Kumanovo–Beljakovce railway line.

In addition to transport, Mickoski highlighted investments in the energy sector, specifically mentioning gas interconnections with Greece and Serbia. The government has also allocated 500 million euros for municipal infrastructure and support for Macedonian companies. Educational investments include 90 million euros for infrastructure and the construction of several student and school dormitories.

Separately, reports indicate a significant staffing shortage within the national judiciary. Despite previous government announcements regarding the approval of funds for 200 new judicial employees, the Judicial Council confirmed that no new hires have been realized due to a lack of individual approvals from the Ministry of Finance. Current data shows that judicial staffing levels remain significantly below required capacity.
