North Macedonia receives second batch of US‑made Stryker armored vehicles

The Republic of North Macedonia has taken delivery of the second shipment of American Stryker armored combat vehicles, continuing a defence modernization programme with the United States. The delivery is part of a bilateral agreement valued at roughly €339 million and is intended to improve the army’s mobility, protection and operational readiness in line with NATO standards.

The first batch of Stryker MK‑B‑UCE vehicles arrived in February, and the current procurement follows other US‑Macedonian agreements covering lightweight infantry weapons, Puma and Raven UAVs, cyber‑defence equipment for infantry battalions and the defence ministry, JTAC air‑support systems, radio sets, and upgrades to the simulation centre in Veles. Additional contracts include anti‑armor Davy Crockett systems, Turkish‑supplied Boran artillery, and components of the Mistral‑3 air‑defence suite, with delivery expected to finish by year‑end.
