North Macedonia secures €140 million loan for highway corridors 8, 10 and Kërçovë‑Ohër

The government of North Macedonia approved a state guarantee for a €140 million syndicated loan from four domestic banks – Stopanska, Komercijalna, Halk and NLB – to finance the construction of highway corridors 8 and 10D. The loan can be drawn over 30 months, includes a three‑year grace period and will be repaid over the following 12 years. Finance Minister Gordana Dimitrieska Koçoska was authorized to sign the guarantee.

In the same cabinet meeting, a separate state guarantee was approved for a €176.5 million loan to complete the Kërçovë‑Ohër motorway, a project previously funded by China’s Exim Bank. The terms of this loan are identical to those of the Bechtel‑Enka corridor financing.
