Menduh Thaçi denies existence of North Macedonia partition document
Menduh Thaçi, leader of the Democratic Party of Albanians (PDSH), has denied claims regarding a historical document concerning the partition of North Macedonia. His comments serve as a rebuttal to Ali Ahmeti, leader of the Democratic Union for Integration (BDI), who recently stated that he had been presented with a partition project from high-level authorities during the period surrounding the Ohrid Agreement.
Ahmeti clarified that he rejected the proposal because it would have excluded ethnic Albanians in cities such as Skopje, Kumanovo, Struga, and others from being part of an Albanian state.
Thaçi countered that no such official document exists and alleged that the idea was promoted by pseudo-academics instructed by the Serbian UDB to undermine Albanian political organization. Thaçi has threatened legal action on behalf of Arbën Xhaferi if Ahmeti continues to make such statements.
