Macedonian Interior Minister Panche Toskovski Faces Parliamentary Interpellation

Opposition party Levica has submitted a 17‑point interpellation against Interior Minister Panche Toskovski to the Macedonian Assembly. The document alleges sabotage of investigations, selective policing, failure to act on high‑profile crimes, conflicts of interest, dubious tender procedures and other shortcomings of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The interpellation will be debated in the plenary session scheduled for 24 June.

Toskovski responded on social media, describing the interpellation as a cheap political attempt to block anti‑crime and anti‑corruption efforts. He accused Levica of acting in concert with governing parties SDSM and DUI and said he will face the arguments publicly in the Assembly. This is the third interpellation against him in less than two years; the two previous motions were rejected by the parliamentary majority. The session will also address other legislative business, including budget rebalancing and potential government restructuring.
