North Macedonia's Ministry of Finance and State Audit Office sign cooperation memorandum

The Ministry of Finance and the State Audit Office of North Macedonia have signed a memorandum of cooperation to enhance inter-institutional coordination and strengthen the public finance system.

Finance Minister Gordana Dimitrieska-Kocoshka and State Auditor Maksim Acevski established this partnership to combine the technical and analytical capacities of both institutions. The goal is to create a more robust framework for preventing and detecting irregularities, fraud, and corruption regarding both domestic budget funds and European Union funds.

The agreement aims to implement international auditing standards and operationalize the AFCOS network to ensure greater transparency, accountability, and the lawful use of taxpayer money.
